ADDITIONAL POLICIES

PROFESSIONAL JUDGEMENT POLICY
It is the policy of Victoria’s Academy to make a “professional judgment” for purposes of financial aid after:

    • Interviewing prospective student
    • Assessing personal circumstances
    • Acquiring documented information pertinent to circumstances

VERIFICATION POLICY
It is the policy of Victoria’s Academy to verify, for purposes of financial aid, any and all statements or documentation concerning:

    • Applications for financial aid
    • Disbursements of financial aid

ACADEMIC YEAR POLICY
It is the policy of Victoria’s Academy to have a 900 hour academic year for the purposes of disbursing financial aid.  This is seven (7) hour days or twenty seven (27) weeks.  Any disbursements for financial aid will be dependent on the amount of hours a student accumulates within each time period.

 

MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCES
When situations of mitigating circumstances occur concerning withdrawal from Victoria’s Academy, ie; health, death, etc., it is the policy of the school to have the ability to deviate from the regular Withdrawal  and Refund Policy on a case by case basis.  This can happen only with a minimum of two staff members agreeing as well as the owner.

 

ABILITY TO BENEFIT POLICY
Victoria’s Academy’s policy is not to accept Ability to Benefit students.

 

LANGUAGE POLICY
At Victoria's Academy all classes are taught in English. All students are required to speak the language their program is taught in at all times when in the school, per NACCAS requirements, unless performing services on a non English speaking customer. All students are required to take their Washington State Board exams in English.

 

Applicants for whom English is a Second Language must pass a test that demonstrates they have sufficient English language skills to successfully complete the training program and obtain work in their field of interest.

 

PARKING POLICY
The first six (6) spaces in each row are reserved unless otherwise posted. The remaining are available to students as well as additional parking on the east side of the building.

 

Students are expected to keep the parking lot litter free
