76% attendance is required, 95% attendance is expected.

 

To maintain 76% attendance and meet satisfactory progress, the following criteria must be met.

 

Cosmetology students may have no more than eleven total absences (88 hours), Barbering may have no more than seven, (56 hours), Manicuring and Esthetics students may have no more than six, (48 hours.) Instructor Trainees may have no more than five, (40 hours).

 

Maximum Absences Allowed

 

If total absences for a Cosmetology student exceeds (20) , Barbering exceeds (16) , Manicuring or Esthetics exceeds (13) , and an Instructor trainee exceeds (12), THEY WILL BE DROPPED FROM THEIR PROGRAM.

 

Daily Hours of Instruction
Students will have eight hours of instruction available to them each day. (One half hour lunch break is not included in the eight hours of instruction.) Breaks are optional and are included in the eight hours, however, if a break exceeds ten minutes, the entire length of that break will be deducted from the hours for that day.

Full Time, Minimal, & Part Time
An attendance of 160 hours per month is considered full time. 152 hours clock hours are the expected minimum allowed. An attendance of 96 hours per month is considered part time.
