Career Path

There are many career paths associated with the beauty and massage industries . With the proper training and license, you can become a stylist, barber, manicurist, esthetician, massage therapist , instructor, owner or manager of a salon or spa, product and equipment sales representative, product educator, platform artist, member of the state board of licensing, owner of a school, representative for NACCAS, skincare consultant, competitor or judge.

Six programs of study are offered in the field of Cosmetology Arts and Science

 

COSMETOLOGY PROGRAM
Day and Evening Classes
1700 HOURS

Science and Theory • Infection Control • Diseases and Disorders of the scalp, Hair, Nails and Skin • Shampooing • Hair Cutting • Hair and Scalp Analysis • Principals of Hair Design and Styling • Artificial Hair • Cutting and Trimming of Facial Hair • All Chemical Procedures Including Permanent Waving and Coloring • 100 Hours of Manicuring and Pedicuring • 100 Hours of Esthetics • Safety • Sanitation • First Aid • Disinfection • Client Services • Laboratory and Practical Experience


100 hours of this program are for Advanced Training, Electives, Orientation, WAC’s and RCW’s, Career Research, Salon Management and breaks.

 

BARBERING PROGRAM
1100 HOURS

ESTHETICS+ PROGRAM
1250 HOURS

Skin Science and Theory • Infection Control • Skin Disorders and Diseases • Anatomy and Physiology • Skin Histology • Cosmetic Ingredients • Chemical Compounds • Exfoliation • Extractions • Contraindications • Masks and Packs • Professional Skin Treatments • Cellulite and Body Wrap Treatments • Medical Professional Interaction • Skin Care • Manual and Electrotherapy Facials • Hair Removal • Make-up Application • Client Services • Laboratory and Practical Experience • Salon and Business Management • Safety • Sanitation • Disinfections • First Aid • Practical Experience in all Areas of the Curriculum

NCEA Certified Training

Victoria's Academy is internationally certified by NCEA as a training facility. All students graduating from our Esthetics+ program may be NCEA internationally certified.

Also available is a 100 hour stand alone curriculum for Animal Massage.

 

Our program will provide the foundation for understanding and correcting muscle/soft tissue aberrations in the entire body through palpation, conceptual theory, and hundreds of specific detailed corrective strokes. Maximum class size is 20 students per instructor.
